limiting beliefs + imposter syndrome

If you have ever ‘procrastinated’ or ‘self-sabotaged’ it is likely to be because you have ‘limiting beliefs’ and even an ‘imposter syndrome’ working within you and you may not even know this.

Here is the CODE to transforming your limiting beliefs

7 Steps to Transforming your Limiting Beliefs:

1. Identify ONE of Your Limiting Beliefs:

Why? Because you need to give yourself, especially your mind the specifics of what you want to transform.

Choose an area of your life, thinking or business that you have a limiting belief in.

-Write down every limiting belief that you can think of in this area. Work until you have a minimum of five and a maximum of ten.

-Choose which one you will transform.

2. Recognise that it is just a belief:

Why? If you think your belief is real you will hold onto it, you will continue to infuse your thinking to it, remaining within the limitation of your belief.

- How is this belief ridiculous or absurd?

3. Challenge your own Belief:

Why? Now that you have admitted it is only a belief, you want to challenge it to reinforce it to yourself, beginning to shift any doubt you may have that it is just a belief.

-Is this belief really founded?

-What are the supporting facts?

-Did I always think this way?

-If not what has changed, who did I learn it from?

-Was the person I learned this belief from worth modelling in this area?

-Is this belief assisting me to achieve what I want to achieve? Goals? Dream / Life? Business?

4. Recognise the consequences for you if you keep your Limiting Belief:

Why? We may not realise that we are causing the pain in our own lives and mind because we believe this limiting belief. Recognising that there are consequences and pain in our belief can provide the leverage we need to transform any limiting belief.

-What will it cost me emotionally if I don’t let go of this belief?

-What will it cost me in my relationships if I don’t let go of this belief?

-What will it ultimately cost me financially if I don’t let go of this belief?

-What will it cost me in my business if I don’t let go of this belief?

-What will it cost me in my self-esteem and confidence if I don’t let go of this belief?

5. Adopt a new Transforming Belief:

Why? Choosing a new transforming belief gives you options and opportunities that your limiting belief did not give you.

6. Put your new Transforming Belief into practice:

Why? As you may have had your limiting belief for a long time you will need to condition yourself with your new transforming belief. When you move into action immediately with your new transforming belief you are sending congruent signals to your brain that tell it you really do want to change it.

7. Get a Coach / Mentor – who will bring you into a place of responsibility, ownership and accountability around your Belief Transformation.

Why? Think about how many times you have made the decision to do something like this before and then found yourself falling away from doing it or simply not even starting it after being at a workshop like this.

-Will I be accountable for my actions?

- Will I be responsible for my results?

- Will I take ownership of the whole process of change?

- Does the coach as a guide resonate with what I am looking for?

- Do they have the same type of values as I do?
